RARE VINTAGE CHANEL AQAU BLUE PLAID TWEED JACKET SIZE S OR 4 TO 6
The edit · Blazers
A used blazer in blue tweed. An oversized blazer has a shoulder line nothing on the high street can match. The wool is heavier, the canvas inside is real, and the cut was made to be worn open and loose.
The woman who changed how women dress.
Founded by Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel in Paris in 1910. She gave women the little black dress, the tweed suit and, in 1955, the first shoulder bag with a chain strap, the 2.55.
Chanel is collected across everything from the 2.55 and Classic Flap to costume jewellery and silk scarves. The interlocking CC and the chain strap are among the most recognised marks in fashion.
What to look for
On bags, check the stitch count per diamond, the hardware weight and the hologram or serial. Gold-tone hardware and lambskin age fastest, so condition drives price hard.
Fit the shoulders first, everything else can be tailored. A canvassed chest and horn buttons separate the good jackets from the rest.
How to wear it
Push the sleeves up, wear it over denim and a plain tee before you ever pair it with matching trousers. If the shoulder fits, the rest can be tailored.
