Privacy

We collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data. Here is exactly what happens on this site.

Analytics

We currently load no analytics: no third-party tracking scripts and no analytics cookies are placed on your device. If we introduce Google Analytics in the future, we will only load it after you accept the cookie banner, with IP anonymisation.

Newsletter

If you sign up, we store your email address in our database (Supabase) and use it only to send the dispatch. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we never share the list.

Your account and the concierge

If you create an account we store your email address and a password (handled, hashed, by Supabase) so you can sign in. While you use the concierge we store the searches you save, the the pieces you watch, and how many credits you have. We use this only to run the service you asked for — saved searches and watches are there so you can pick them up again.

Credits and Pro are held on the email address you pay with. We store which address bought what and the balance that follows from it, so we know what you are entitled to.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — they go to Stripe. We only receive confirmation that a payment was made, and the amount.

What we do not do

No advertising identifiers, no tracking across other companies' apps or websites, no sale of personal data, and no analytics that include what you searched for.

Travel and marketplace links

Flights, stays and experiences are booked through our travel partners — Skyscanner, LiteAPI and Viator — and listings go to eBay. Nothing is shared with them while you read this site; only when you click through do you land on their site, where their privacy policy and their cookies apply.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, and then we remove the address.
• Account, saved searches and watches: until you ask us to delete them. Write to us and we remove the account and everything attached to it within 30 days.
• Payment and credit records: as long as tax law requires — seven years for the invoices behind them. After that they go.

Your rights

You can ask for access to what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to processing that runs on our legitimate interest. Send that to hello@thevintageguide.com — we answer within two working days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Stored on your device

Your consent choice (Accept or Decline) is saved in your browser's local storage so we do not ask you again on every visit, and your sign-in session is kept so you stay logged in.
