The articles, photography and design on The Vintage Guide are our work and remain our property. You are welcome to quote with attribution, but please do not republish in full without asking.

Marketplace

The pieces shown in the marketplace and in our stories are listed by third-party sellers, primarily on eBay. We are not the seller. We cannot guarantee a listing's authenticity, condition, price or availability, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a seller. Any dispute sits between you and the seller or the platform.

Your account

You can read everything on this site without an account. An account (email address and password) lets you keep saved searches and watches and see your credit balance. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it by writing to hello@thevintageguide.com; we remove it within 30 days. Credits are held on the email address you paid with, so use the same address when you write to us about them.

Credits and the concierge

Reading the magazine is free. The concierge — “Found by Louis” — is the paid part. A search credit costs US$2.99 and pays for one full search: our research into designers, live listings, market signals and city leads, delivered to you as a PDF report by email. A preview is free; a credit unlocks the full result. Credits are held on the email address you use at checkout, do not expire, and are spent when a search runs. A report is research and opinion: it is not a purchase, a valuation, an authenticity guarantee or advice, and we are not a broker, agent or seller.

Pro subscription

Pro costs US$12.99 per month and gives you unlimited searches, plus standing searches that keep running between visits. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe on our behalf.

Refunds and cancellation

• If something failed on our side — an error, an outage, a search that never ran, or a double charge — you get your credit back or your money back. Always.
• If a report was delivered, the search has been done and we do not refund it.
• Bought a credit by mistake and never used it? Write to us within 14 days and we will refund it or move it to a new search.
• Pro: cancel whenever you like; we do not refund the running month, unless we failed to deliver it.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer law. We aim to answer every request within two working days.

No advice

Everything here is for interest and information. Nothing on this site is financial, investment or legal advice, and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on what you read.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Vintage Guide is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, including reliance on third-party listings.
