A used Gucci Bamboo bag in suede, from the 1990s. The small shoulder bag is back, and the originals are still out there. A bag from this era was designed to be carried, not photographed, and it shows in the hardware and the stitching.

Look for the stamped serial and the quality of the bamboo, which should be hand-bent with visible heat marks. Older GG canvas has a depth that modern printing lacks.

Look at the corners, hardware and lining. Real bags age at the stress points first, so a worn corner is often a good sign, not a flaw.
