Florentine craft meets Italian glamour.

Founded in Florence in 1921 by Guccio Gucci as a leather goods and luggage house. The bamboo handle, the Jackie bag and the GG monogram made Gucci a mid-century icon, revived by Tom Ford in the 1990s.

Gucci's bamboo handle was born of wartime rationing in 1947, when leather was scarce and Florentine craftsmen bent bamboo over a flame instead.
