Fendi Mini Mamma Baguette Zucca Print Burgundy Coated Canvas
The edit ·
A pre-owned Fendi Baguette piece in burgundy canvas. Buy the piece, not the promise. Condition, provenance and a maker's mark are worth more than a brand name alone.
Roman fur, and the bag that started it all.
Founded in Rome in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi. The double-F logo, designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1965, and the Baguette of 1997 made the house a fashion force.
The Baguette, carried tucked under the arm like a French loaf, sparked the entire designer bag craze of the 1990s, and vintage examples remain highly collectible.
Why it's called that
Fendi Baguette
Silvia Venturini Fendi designed it in 1997 and named it for the French loaf: it is small, slim and carried tucked under the arm, the way Parisians carry a baguette home.
What to look for
The double-F hardware and the serial. A Baguette should sit slim and firm, and the logo print should be crisp on both sides.
How to wear it
Let the piece lead. Build the outfit or the room around it, not the other way round.
