Founded in Paris in 1961 by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge. Le Smoking, the women's tuxedo, in 1966, and the Rive Gauche ready-to-wear line changed fashion permanently.

Vintage YSL spans the Rive Gauche era to the Mondrian dress and the Sac de Jour. The 1970s and 1980s pieces are the most collected, and the craftsmanship is superb.
